ACLC programs for kids continue
SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation has scheduled a series of Sunday afternoon programs for local children and their families to learn about loons through hands-on activities, games, crafts and stories.
These programs, for children from 3 to 5 years old, will be held from 2-2:30 p.m. each Sunday through Aug.14 at the Adirondack Loon Center, located at 75 Main St. in Saranac Lake.
Topics will include: loon nesting on July 17, how loons swim and fly on July 24, loon calls and behaviors on July 31, and threats to loons and how to help on Aug. 14.
The summer children’s programs are free. Preregistration is encouraged; each presentation will be limited to 12 children. To preregister, email education@adkloon.org or call 518-354-8636.
