Open Sky fest returns Aug. 11

LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Center for the Arts announced Thursday that the Open Sky Arts Festival will be returning for a second year this summer.

Scheduled for Aug. 11-14, outdoors at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts main campus, this year’s Open Sky Arts Festival is a celebration for music-lovers of any age. All are invited to enjoy four days of music, food and fun all on the outdoor stage on the lawn behind the theatre building.

This year’s lineup includes:

¯ Friday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. — Paula Cole and Sophie B. Hawkins, starting at $35

¯ Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. — The Secret Agency (family show), free

¯ Saturday, Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. — The Larry Stephenson Band (bluegrass), starting at $30

¯ Saturday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. — Emmylou Harris, starting at $65

¯ Saturday, Aug. 13 at 8 p.m. — The Spin Doctors, starting at $45

¯ Sunday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. — Martin Sexton, starting at $35

Festival passes are now on sale for the general public. Passes are $200, or $175 for 2022 LPCA members — those who have donated $50 or more since April. Passes include access to all performances Friday through Sunday.

Individual ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, May 25 at 10 a.m., with a special pre-sale starting Tuesday, May 24 at 10 a.m. for 2022 LPCA members at the $150 level and up.
