LAKE PLACID — Community Bank plans to relocate its Lake Placid branch.

The bank will move from its current location at 2297 Saranac Ave. in Lake Placid to a new location at 2166 Saranac Ave., less than half a mile down the road.

On Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at 3 p.m., the current location will close and will reopen in the new location on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at 9 a.m.

At the new location, there will be ample parking, expanded office space, an increased teller area, a new drive-thru, a 24-hour image-enabled ATM, a night depository, safe deposit boxes and Saturday drive-thru hours.

“Customers who opened their account(s) at our Lake Placid branch will automatically have their accounts transferred to the new location, and there will be no interruption of service during this transition,” Community Bank Senior Vice President of Retail Banking Hal Wentworth said in a statement Tuesday.

All employees from the Lake Placid branch will transfer to the new location.
