Stage Rats perform ‘Lifespan of a Fact’
SARANAC LAKE — Adirondack Stage Rats will perform a timely comedy, “Lifespan of a Fact” in a Saranac Lake lawn for six shows between June 30 to July 8.
The play is based on the true story of essayist John D’Agata, whose evocative exploration of a teenager’s suicide must withstand bullish fact-checking by ambitious recent Harvard grad Jim Fingal. What begins as an intern’s mundane assignment quickly accelerates into a battle of wits, intelligence and ethics.
The play was written by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell and Gordon Farrell, from the book by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal.
The Stage Rats performance stars Jameson Batt, Brenden Gotham and Kathleen Recchia, and is directed by Beth Glover.
Performances will take place on Wednesday, June 30, Thursday, July 1, Friday, July 2, Tuesday, July 6, Wednesday, July 7 and Thursday, July 8. All shows begin at 6 p.m. Donations will be gratefully accepted but not required.
