The Empire Pro Baseball League is having its tryouts this week at the Municipal Park in Tupper Lake. Here, Pedro Castillo of Santiago, Dominican Republic, makes contact with a ball on Tuesday. Castillo will play first base and outfield for the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds this year. He played two season in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
