LAKE CLEAR — The Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York announced Monday it will host day programs this summer at Lake Clear Camp.

These sessions are part of the Girl Scouts’ Adventure NOW! Summer Program. They will run throughout the month of August with limited capacity in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Day programs are open to all girls, not just Girl Scouts. They let girls experience camp without the commitment of a full-week’s session and will feature programs focused on a variety of topics, from outdoor activities like sailing, boating and swimming to environmental conservation and cooking outdoors.

Lake Clear Camp sits on the shore of Lake Clear, accessible from state Route 30 between Lake Clear and Paul Smiths. It has been an active Girl Scout camp since 1962.

Age and price vary, depending on the program. Transportation is available for an additional cost from Plattsburgh to Lake Clear Camp with pick-up and drop-off at Champlain Centre. For more information on dates, prices and registration, visit https://www.girlscoutsneny.org/camp or contact campinfo@girlscoutsneny.org with any questions.

While camp is exclusive to girls, GSNENY has curated a list of family activities in Lake Clear for parents/guardians and siblings to experience while girls are attending day programs. Activities include canoe and kayak rentals, beaches, wildlife centers and hiking trails.

GSNENY recently announced plans to hold day camp this summer at two of its other camp properties, Camp Is-Sho-Da located in East Greenbush and Hidden Lake Camp located in Lake George.
