Franklin County vaccine clinic Monday in Malone for 65+

MALONE — Franklin County Public Health will hold a COVID-19 vaccination POD (point of dispensing) on Monday at the Franklin County Courthouse in Malone. This POD is for seniors 65 and older. It is by appointment only and for Franklin County residents, with proof of county ZIP code required.

Proof of ZIP code includes driver license or non-driver ID card, or postmarked envelope with your name and address, or bill with your name and address. Also, proof of age is required, such as a driver license, non-driver ID or birth certificate.

The Moderna vaccine will be administered. It is a two-dose vaccination, with the second dose administered 28 days after first. Second-dose appointments will occur on April 5 and will be scheduled at the first-dose appointment.

Register online at https://on.ny.gov/38aiQhF. If you are a senior who needs assistance with registering for vaccination, call the Franklin County Office for the Aging at 518-481-1526.

Franklin County Public Transportation is available using on-demand runs within Malone, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. There will be no fee charged for transportation services used to get the COVID-19 vaccination. Public transportation requires a 24-hour notice by calling 518-483-9000 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Transportion outside Malone in Franklin County can be provided if you have Medicaid. Call the Medical Answering Service at 1-844-666-6270. This is a new number for all Franklin County Medicaid recipients in need of transportation to and from doctor appointments. A medical transportation specialist for Franklin County will assist anyone who may need help scheduling transportation by calling 518-483-0934 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
