SARANAC LAKE — The Women’s College Scholarship Club is offering four $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships to adults in Franklin and Essex counties.

These scholarships are for adults who wish to return to school after a year or more from high school graduation in order to change or enhance careers.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Part-time students may apply. Adults who have already begun a program are eligible to apply.

Applications, along with instructions for applying are available at the Financial Aid Office at North Country Community College, the Financial Aid Office at Paul Smith’s College, the Saranac Lake Free Library and Women’s College Scholarship Club Facebook page.

Applicants must submit the following by May 14:

¯ The completed application

¯ A personal letter explaining goals

¯ Two letters of recommendation from non-family members

“I encourage students at Paul Smiths, NCCC or those returning to school for a degree, both women and men, to apply,” said Bartlett.

These scholarships are also available to people who are attending technical or vocational schools.

The four Continuing Education Scholarships, along with four $1,000 Saranac Lake High School Scholarships, are all funded with money club members raised across 2020.
