Lake Placid Farmers Market announces new time, location
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Farmers Market is set to open its 2020 season on Wednesday.
The market can be found in its new home in the Placid Pond shopping center parking lot, outside of Green Goddess at 2051 Saranac Ave. It operates on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is a rain-or-shine event and continues through Labor Day.
The Lake Placid and Saranac Lake farmers markets are both part of the AuSable Valley Grange Farmers’ Market and are the only “producer-only” farmers’ markets in the eastern Adirondacks. The AuSable Valley Grange farmers markets will also continue to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits at the market. SNAP is a federal government program that offers food to income-eligible individuals and families.
