The Frances L. Carpenter Foundation is accepting applications for 2019-20.

Applicants for financial assistance (grant money) must reside or operate in Franklin, Essex or Clinton counties, and must be elderly persons in need or worthy persons in case of sickness and distress.

The Frances L. Carpenter Foundation was established by Frances L. Carpenter prior to her death in 1942. Its purpose is to benefit people in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties “who are poor through no fault of their own” and “to provide assistance to worthy persons in case of sickness and distress.”

Completed applications for the 2019-2020 grant year must be submitted to the Foundation no later than Aug. 20, 2019.

The directors of the Carpenter Foundation are William W. Cantwell, Frances Shepard, Henry Jakobe, Ken Hunt, Alyse Holstein, Ann E. Cantwell and Edmond A. Cantwell.
