Wind chill could reach minus 30 degrees
NCCC and Keene delay classes
Because of inclement weather, both North Country Community College in Saranac Lake and Keene Central School were on two-hour delays Wednesday. NCCC will resume classes at 9:30 a.m.
Classes at other public school districts, such as Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and AuSable Valley were scheduled as normal.
The National Weather Service issued a windchill advisory for the North Country from 6 p.m. Wednesday to noon Thursday.
Wind chill is expected to get down to 30 degrees below zero, which can cause frostbite to exposed skin in less than 10 minutes.
