Annual water pressure test
The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department tests the pressure of its truck pumps annually by launching water over Lake Flower from the boat launch. In this photo the water is pressurized at 250 pounds per square inch, and launching 875 gallons per minute. Members said this is an annual test for insurance purposes. The village department is currently rates as a level 4 out of 10 right now, and members want to lower that to a 3 for a cheaper rate. (Enterprise photo — Aaron Cerbone)
