Placid woman charged with felony assault

LAKE PLACID – Village police charged Bonny L. Dudley, 49, of Lake Placid with second degree assault, a felony, at 12:17 a.m. Saturday. Dudley and Kevin D. Reynolds, 52, of Lake Placid were also charged with obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and second degree harrassment. Reynolds was also charged with third degree attempted criminal mischief at 12:17 a.m. Saturday.

Police said both Reynolds and Dudley were charged following the investigation of a domestic dispute that occurred on a Main Street sidewalk. Police said Dudley obstructed the officers attempts to arrest Reynolds and she also subsequently resisted arrest herself when police attempted to place her into custody. Police added that while Dudley was actively resisting arrest, an officer sustained a hand injury, resulting in the assault charge. Police said the offficer was treated and released from Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Police said both defendants were arraigned in village court and sent to Essex County Jail to re-appear in court at a later date. Police said Reynolds was sent to court in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond and Dudley was sent in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.
