SARANAC LAKE – Saranac Lake Police Department charged Brandon L. Euber, 22, of Saranac Lake with second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing, third-degree attempted assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Police responded to a fight in progress involving Euber, who proceeded to act aggressively toward officers during an interview and attempted to damage a patrol vehicle. Police say that during a brief struggle with cops, Euber grabbed an officer’s gun in an attempt to remove it from the holster, then spit in the faces of the officers and kicked one officer in the face, causing a minor injury. The defendant was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Harrietstown Court at a later date.
