Nashville singer in Lake Placid Wednesday

LAKE PLACID – Nashville singer/songwriter Sean Patrick McGraw will appear at the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Originally from western New York, McGraw made waves nationally in 2004 as a contestant on USA Network’s “Nashville Star.”

In the years since, he has toured with the likes of Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley and Eric Church, appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and has penned songs that have been covered by Daryl Worley, Montgomery Gentry and Canadian star Aaron Pritchett.

McGraw has also found his niche on cable TV supplying songs for the soundtracks of hit shows such as ABC’s “Nashville,” FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” and HBO’s “True Blood.”

McGraw has already played more than 100 dates in 2015, touring throughout the U.S. and abroad. His shows are marked by seat-of-pants set-lists (or lack thereof) exploring a deep catalog of original material some nights, one-hit-wonders and R&B on others.

McGraw describes his music as “Bruce Springsteen wearing Dwight Yoakam’s hat singing Lyle Lovett songs,” or “mostly country music for people who mostly hate country music.”
