Tractor Supply plans to open in October
RAY BROOK – Tractor Supply Company expects to open its new store here in just four months.
Tractor Supply’s public relations firm said in a statement Friday that the Ray Brook store’s opening is set for around Oct. 10. Once complete, the building will be about 19,097 square feet.
Workers began to lay the foundation this morning.
“After that, you’ll start seeing the shape of the building pretty clearly,” Chris Kettler, a representative of Michigan-based contractor DMK Development, said Friday.
The building is expected to be complete by September, and the store’s interior will be finished up by October, Kettler said.
Tractor Supply’s inventory includes home improvement items, agricultural products, animal food and care, clothing and footwear. The store is expected to employ 12 to 17 full- and part-time workers.
The company’s public relations firm wrote in a statement that it expects to find the store’s target market in Ray Brook “due to the part-time and hobby farmers, and horse owners in the area.”
