LAKE PLACID — Merrill L. Thomas Real Estate recently announced the hiring of four new agents.

Anne Brewer

Brewer is currently the owner and editor of LOCALadk Magazine, focused on sharing inspiring stories of the Adirondacks. This has allowed her to visit and get to know the many towns and people throughout the Adirondack Park. As a New York state licensed guide, she has led people on adventures in the park as well as around the world. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, skiing, biking, photography and travel. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Brockport in communications and international business, and a minor in Spanish. She started her career working outside Washington, D.C., in corporate training.

Kelsey Stanton

Stanton has fond childhood memories of spending time in Lake Placid with her family, especially the Olympic Center, where she trained and competed in figure skating. Prior to joining the Merrill Thomas team, she has been employed at the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, becoming familiar with local businesses and the community, provided services for disabled adults in the area, and continuing her passion for winter recreation while working for the state Olympic Regional Development Authority. She is an advocate for continuing the Olympic spirit that many people travel here to experience. She spends her time volunteering at her daughter’s school and enjoying the many events and outdoor activities the area has to offer with her friends and family.

Michael Martineau

As a frequent vacationer to Lake Placid, Martineau knew at a very young age he wanted to eventually call the Adirondacks home. After graduating from Quinnipiac University and a four-year stint working on Wall Street, he decided to fulfill his lifelong dream by moving to the mountain town to continue his marketing career. He has always been a natural marketer and loves to network with individuals he meets throughout town or while volunteering for community events. He is also a photographer who has traveled and worked with some of the largest outdoor and adventure brands in the world. When not out assisting aspiring buyers, selling or photographing, you can find him hiking, cycling, playing hockey or coaching Nordic skiing.
