LAKE PLACID — Shannon Eaton has joined the real estate team of The Reynolds Group, based in Lake Placid.

Eaton has lived in the Adirondacks for over 10 years. It’s here that she and her husband Tyler founded Blue Pepper Farm, a thriving sheep dairy in Jay specializing in sheep milk yogurt, a business they actively run today.

She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in psychology and communications. Before her venture into the dairy farm business, she had a successful corporate career in client-centric roles at Maersk Line, a major world shipping company, working in offices from Atlanta to Singapore.

She moved in 2009 to Jay, where her family has deep roots, and pivoted to farming and managing her bustling “farm stay” vacation rental. She is heavily engaged in the local food and farm scene, co-founded the Adirondack Fibershed, currently sits on the board at Little Peaks Preschool and was a former board member of Adirondack Harvest.

When she’s not out in her pastures, she can be found hiking, skiing or splashing in the AuSable River with her family and friends.

Shannon and Tyler Eaton have two children, Wyatt and Shep.
