Kissel is a respected and long-standing member of the Lake Placid legal community. Prior to joining Norfolk Beier, he owned and operated his own law office in Lake Placid since 1982. Kissel brings a wealth of experience, concentrating his practice in the essential areas of environmental, real estate and business law. His deep local knowledge and decades of experience will be invaluable to the firm’s clients, particularly those navigating complex land-use and transactional matters in the Adirondack Park.

Jade Platania: senior counsel

Platania joins the firm with a strong focus on real estate matters, including representing both buyers and sellers in residential and commercial transactions. She previously operated her own practice in Rhinebeck, New York, for nine years. Platania also possesses specialized expertise in title review from her work with a title insurance agency. She will utilize this expertise to review title on behalf of Outpost Title Agency located in Lake Placid.
