Cloudsplitter foundation elects new chair, board
SARANAC LAKE– For the first time since its founding in 1986, the Cloudsplitter Foundation has named a new board chair, Holly Wolff, to lead the organization founded by and run by Lee and Nancy Keet. She takes over Jan. 1, 2025.
“Holly will continue Cloudsplitter’s work with great vision and leadership and will bring the organization successfully to its next chapter,” said Lee Keet, outgoing chairman and founding trustee.
Wolff, a retired IBM executive, has been on the Cloudsplitter board since 2021 where she also served as vice chair. She has chaired the boards of Pendragon Theatre and Berkshire Choral International and served as Secretary of Adirondack Foundation. She currently serves on the board of Adirondack Health Foundation. She is a resident of Saranac Lake.
“I’m honored and humbled to accept the position as Chair of the Cloudsplitter Board from founding trustees Lee and Nancy Keet,” Wolff said. “Cloudsplitter’s impact has been felt across the Adirondacks over the last 40 years. I look forward to continuing that legacy.”
The Cloudsplitter board also elected new officers effective Jan. 1. Glenn Keet has been named Treasurer; Julia Goren, Vice Chair; Diane Fish, Secretary; and Lee Keet, Founding Trustee.
In addition, the board elected Harry Gordon to the board of trustees.
Gordon’s brings more than 50 years experience in the sustainable building and community design field. Much of his work laid the groundwork for today’s LEED and Green Business Certifications in the United States. He and his wife Christa live in Saranac Lake.
Cloudsplitter Foundation wishes to thank Melissa Eisinger for her seven years of service on the board and Executive Committee. Among her many contributions, Eisinger was the architect and driving force behind Cloudsplitter’s collaboration with Canary to deliver financial awards to child educators in need. Since joining the board in 2018 she has brought great heart and a commitment to every person in need in the Adirondacks.
Also stepping away are board members Barb Rice, Executive Director of the Adirondack Park Agency, and Ellen Rocco, retired station manager for North Country Public Radio. Jodi Keet has also announced that in 2025 she will be stepping back from her board position to join the Cloudsplitter Foundation Advisory Committee The Cloudsplitter Foundation is dedicated to improving the environment, economies, and lives of the people of the Adirondacks through innovative and leveraged philanthropic programs.
Current Cloudsplitter Board members include Bob Beier, Diane Fish, Harry Gorden, Julia Goren, Glenn Keet, Lee Keet, Nancy Keet, Tracy Ormsbee and Holly Wolff.
