Saranac Lake student graduates from University of Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Megan Benham of Saranac Lake has received the degree of Doctor of Psychology from the University of Hartford’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Megan is one of 964 students who received graduate and undergraduate degrees this spring as part of the Class of 2024.

Lake Placid student named to Provost’s List

BATAVIA — Maria Voce, a resident of Lake Placid, was among 218 students from Genesee Community College — including all six campus locations in Batavia, Arcade, Dansville, Lima, Medina and Warsaw — who were named to the Provost’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

Students honored on the Provost’s List have maintained part-time enrollment and earned a quality point index of 3.75 (roughly equivalent to an A) or better.

Wilmington student makes Siena College President’s List

LOUDONVILLE — Siena College named a Wilmington student, Eliana Orlic, to its President’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

Lake Placid student earns Dean’s List designation

LOUDONVILLE — Siena College named Isabella Armstrong of Lake Placid to its Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

Local students named to University of New England Dean’s List

PORTLAND, Maine — Two students have been named to the Dean’s List for the 2024 spring semester at the University of New England: Kathryn Samperi of Saranac Lake and Olivia Ellis of Tupper Lake.

Dean’s List students have attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

The University of New England is Maine’s largest private university, with two coastal campuses in Maine and a study-abroad campus in Tangier, Morocco.

Saranac Lake student named to Buffalo State University Dean’s List

BUFFALO — Buffalo State University recently recognized Owen Maiore of Saranac Lake, who has been named to the spring 2024 Dean’s List.

In general, students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and who have attained a GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for the Buffalo State Dean’s List. Full criteria and grade-type exceptions can be found in the undergraduate catalog.

SUNY Cortland announces Dean’s List

CORTLAND — There were 2,434 SUNY Cortland students recognized for academic excellence on the university’s Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

Local students honored include:

¯ Nora Glover of Saranac Lake, majoring in Early Childhood and Childhood Education B-6

¯ Karlie Goetz of Bloomingdale, majoring Physical Education K-12

¯ Sydney Leeret of Lake Clear, majoring in Physical Education K-12

The Dean’s List is the highest ranking for undergraduate students in their respective academic areas of the university. Students must earn a minimum 3.3 grade point average for the semester to make the list.

Each of SUNY Cortland’s three schools publishes its own Dean’s List. They are the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Professional Studies and the School of Education.
