The Saranac Lake Elks Lodge awarded a $1,000 Freedom Grant to the Mountain Mama Quilters for their work in providing service specific quilts to veterans at St. Joseph’s Veteran’s Treatment Center. The quilting group has provided quilts since 2016, delivering over 175 quilts to date. The Elk’s Freedom Grant is given specifically to efforts that serve this nation’s veterans and/or military members in need.
