Franklin County law enforcement officers honored for service

MALONE — Law enforcement officers from across Franklin County were honored May 22 for service to the communities and territories they serve.
Officers from seven agencies were presented awards during a special ceremony at the Malone Golf Club sponsored by the Franklin County Traffic Safety Board.
Award recipients were cited for their efforts to enforce the state’s Vehicle and Traffic laws, including the Driving While Intoxicated law.
The 11 officers, nominated by the leadership of their respective agencies, were honored for making the most arrests for violations in the DWI and Vehicle and Traffic categories.
Special awards presented were created by Evan Cree of Traditional Lacrosse in Hogansburg, which is known for manufacturing lacrosse sticks.
Keynote speaker at the ceremony was Michael Campbell from the North Country Crime Analysis Center. His topic was “Overdose and Overdose Reporting.”
