SARANAC LAKE — Adirondack Health’s Stafford New Life Center has welcomed its first baby of 2024.
Abigael Wells and Jordan McCray of Plattsburgh celebrated the birth of their baby boy, J’Mari Jordan McCray, at 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2024. J’Mari weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches long.
Baby J’Mari is Wells’ third child. She said the care she and J’Mari received at Adirondack Health was “phenomenal,” and gave special thanks to registered nurses Emma Atkinson and Inez Burkard.
“It was definitely a surprise being the first baby of the year,” Wells said. “We didn’t find out until the day after.”
Wells said she and baby J’Mari are both doing well at home and that J’Mari is “an eater and a sleeper.”
