Former Saranac Lake resident graduates with 27th college degree

SARANAC LAKE — On June 22, Dr. Joseph M. Segriff graduated from Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey with an A. S. degree in general science. He graduated with “Highest Honors” distinction. Among his salient presentations were the following two discourses: “Prion Disease: A Rare-Yet-Fatal, Inherited and Acquired Deadly Pathology” (June 15, 2023) and “Schizophrenia and the Brain: Playing Chess with Checkers Pieces” (June 1, 2023).

In addition, on May 17, Segriff graduated from Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, New Jersey with an A. A. degree in liberal arts. He graduated with honors, earning a Summa Cum Laude academic distinction. On May 11, Segriff earned a certificate of recognition for “Highest Academic Achievement” from Middlesex College.

On Friday, May 5, 2023, Dr. Segriff graduated from Reading Area Community College in Reading, Pennsylvania with an A. A. degree in Psychology. He graduated with honors during RACC’s Fifty-First annual commencement, earning a Magna Cum Laude academic distinction. Segriff also earned a Certificate of Recognition for “High Academic Achievement, Dean’s List, Spring 2023.”

On Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, Segriff graduated from Warren County Community College in Washington, New Jersey with an A. A. degree in Social Sciences. He graduated with honors during WCCC’s Thirty-Sixth commencement ceremony, earning a Summa Cum Laude scholastic distinction. Earlier that same week, on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, Dr. Segriff graduated from Hudson County Community College with an A. A. degree in Psychology. He graduated with a Summa Cum Laude academic distinction. Segriff has earned 10 graduate degrees, including three doctorates, six masters, a post-masters, and 17 undergraduate degrees for a total of 27 college degrees. He has currently earned college degrees from 15 different colleges/universities.

On July 13, Segriff was accepted for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. Segriff is a Montclair State University public-speaking professor. In addition to being a professional certified life coach, he also holds academic expertise in several areas, including writing pedagogy, academic writing, and psychiatric social history. Segriff has been living in New Jersey over 20 years. His hometown is Saranac Lake. Segriff graduated from Saranac Lake Central High School in June 1974.
