CLINTON — Abigail Wolff of Saranac Lake was named the recipient of the McKinney Speaking Prize at Hamilton College’s annual Class & Charter Day.

Wolff, a junior majoring in government, is a 2018 graduate of Saranac Lake High School.

The McKinney Speaking Prizes are awarded to the four students, one in each class, who have been determined the best speakers in competition.

The outdoor, socially distanced ceremony was held May 11. Established in 1950, the event combines the traditional Class Day celebrating the end of classes with a commemoration of the granting of the college’s charter on May 26, 1812.
