Paul Smith’s College student wants input on ‘Learning Farm’ idea

PAUL SMITHS — An upcoming spring 2021 Paul Smith’s College graduate, Emily Nelson, is seeking public input for her capstone (senior research) project. She is exploring the feasibility of establishing a “Learning Farm” at the Osgood Pond property owned by the college, across Route 30 from the college’s Visitor Interpretive Center.

Working with the college, VIC staff and external partner Cornell Cooperative Extension, Nelson is investigating the viability of a collaborative approach to leverage local resources to develop the Osgood property into an active learning center for local residents as well as tourists.

She asks that people take five minutes to respond to her survey at https://forms.gle/SNoEyxE9cAHA6qcf6. The survey will close March 19.
