DURHAM, N.H. — Bryce Hartman of Saranac Lake graduated from the University of New Hampshire in December 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.

SYRACUSE — Brody Hooper of Elizabethtown was named to the Dean’s List after earning a 4.0 GPA at Upstate Medical University for the fall 2020 semester.

Graduate students must be enrolled full-time with nine or more credit hours for the semester and attain at least a 3.5 GPA to qualify for the Dean’s List.

KINGSTON, R.I. — Lake Placid High School alumna Laine Ridenour qualified for the Dean’s List at the University of Rhode Island for the fall 2020 semester.

Ridenour is in her senior year, expecting to graduate this spring.

BOSTON — Northeastern University announced Feb. 5 that Melissa Rath of Lake Placid qualified for its Dean’s List in the fall 2020 semester.

Rath is majoring in mechanical engineering.

In addition to achieving distinction through the Dean’s List, she is a member of the University Honors Program, which offers high-caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special-interest residential communities, participate in enriched, interdisciplinary courses, and engage in research and creative endeavors, service and global experiences. Invitation into the University Honors Program is highly competitive, and members must maintain a high grade point average.

To achieve the Dean’s List distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during their college career.

BOSTON — Northeastern University announced Feb. 5 that Jada Meadows of Saranac Lake qualified for its Dean’s List in the fall 2020 semester.

Meadows is majoring in physical therapy.

To achieve the Dean’s List distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during their college career.

CANTON — SUNY Canton has recognized Emma Kielmeier of Saranac Lake for earning a spot on the Dean’s List during the fall 2020 semester.

Kielmeier, a 2020 graduate of Saranac Lake High School, is currently enrolled in Liberal Arts and Sciences: General Studies.

Dean’s List recognizes full-time students for earning a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.74 on a 4.0 scale.
