By the Enterprise staff
SARANAC LAKE — Nineteen students at Saranac Lake High School were recently inducted into the school’s National Honor Society.
These include three seniors from the Class of 2021 — Dayna Bearce, Evelyn Eller and Gwen Mader — as well as 16 juniors from the Class of 2022: Bailey Bartholomew, Eleanor Crowley, Sydney Dann, Juliana DeChavez, Annelise Dramm, Alison Hewitt, Tyler Hochwald, Alex LaDue, Mayah Land, Sydney Mariano, Nathan McCarthy, Morgan Olsen, Mia Sanford, Marley Small, Ruby Smith and Emma Wood.
The normal, in-person NHS induction ceremony could not be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but in an online ceremony, each new member was introduced by a current member.

Each NHS member is obligated to complete 20 hours of community service. Since the pandemic limits larger-scale service events, NHS advisor Drew Benware invites people with service ideas to email them to him at benwaredre@slcs.org.
