Cline named to region’s United Way board

PLATTSBURGH — United Way of the Adirondack Region Inc. has elected Nicole Cline to serve on its Board of Directors.

Cline is a territory manager at Casella Waste Management. She is a member of the United Way of the Adirondacks Campaign Team and Allocation Committee, a member of the Adirondack Young Professionals group and a member of the Noon Rotary Club of Plattsburgh.

“Nicole is an outstanding person,” United Way President and CEO John Bernardi said in a press release. “She has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to helping people and making our region a better place to live and work. We are delighted to have her join our Board of Directors, and we look forward to the many contributions she will make toward advancing our mission.”

Cline was elected at the July board meeting to begin her term immediately. Bruce Lawson, chair of the Governance Committee, stated, “We are fortunate to have a strong and committed Board of Directors, and we are enthusiastic about Nicole bringing new opportunities and ideas to our Board of Directors.”

United Way of the Adirondack Region Inc. is a comprehensive health and human service organization with a network of 41 partner agencies serving Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties. The organization’s mission is to be a leader in community partnership building and to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.
