Summo, Quinn are Keene valedictorian, salutatorian

Alyssa Summo

KEENE VALLEY — Alyssa Summo is the valedictorian of the Keene Central School Class of 2020, and Caitlin Quinn is this year’s salutatorian.

Alyssa Mari Summo is the daughter of Patrick and Cindy Summo and graduates at the top of her class with a 93.92 GPA.

She plans to attend North Country Community College for her my first year of higher education and then transfer to the University of Vermont and pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

“During my senior year at KCS, I discovered that I would like to become a physical therapist,” she said. “This year I attended the CV-TEC New Visions Medical Program and loved it. Through this experience I was able to learn a lot about anatomy and physiology, and shadow people who work in the hospital. I was lucky to be able to spend so much time with physical therapists and found that career to be the most interesting and best fit for me (they also seemed to have the most fun).

“Growing up as a three-season athlete and being in love with all the mountains in the Adirondacks, I have always enjoyed exercising, playing sports, hiking and staying active, so I would love to be able to help others continue being active and recover from any problems that have kept them from doing what brings them joy.”

Caitlin Quinn

Caitlin Winona Quinn is the daughter of Sheryl Quinn and the late Jeremy Quinn, and graduates with a GPA of 93.87.

She plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology and major in Applied Mathematics.
