Adirondack Sky Center awarded Stewart’s Shops holiday grant
TUPPER LAKE — The Adirondack Sky Center has received a $1,250 grant as part of the Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program.
The grant will allow the Tupper Lake observatory to purchase educational materials. These include celestial globes, including a new globe of Pluto and an illuminated moon globe, which will be kept at the observatory and used on stargazing nights. The Sky Center will also be able to purchase many new educational materials such as new Lego sets, robotic kits and art supplies for use in its classroom and at the observatory, while still practicing social distancing.
