SARANAC LAKE – Elodie Linck of Saranac Lake has been appointed as a summer trainee with the Rebecca Kelly Ballet.

Linck has been long involved with the company since she was 4 years old, participating for many summers in Onstage, RKB’s well-known performance intensive program.

In addition to Onstage performances under Rebecca Kelly’s direction, on the Lake Placid Center for the Arts stage, in 2017 Linck appeared in a Kelly’s site specific work, “Form and Energy.” This was a dance, music and art happening organized by LPCA Gallery Curator Jon Donk, with painter Betsy Stewart, and which took place in the LPCA Gallery.

In this summer’s season, Linck will appear with the company in “A Fine Line” in Rebecca Kelly Ballet’s public performance on Thursday, July 18.

Currently a double major in political science and dance at Skidmore College, she broadens her dance training in contemporary dance and ballet with courses in improvisation, choreography and stage production.

She said she has also discovered how much she enjoys sharing her love of dance, in teaching children.

“We look forward to welcoming Elodie as a summer trainee and putting her impressive accomplishments, and all her skills and talent to work,” Rebecca Kelly said. “She will start rehearsing with the company in May in New York City, and will perform with the Company in its New York City previews at City Center Studio on June 2. We are pleased to be able to support the North Country dancers we’ve known for years through Onstage, and encourage them as they develop their professional goals.”
