Community Bank spreads cheer

SARANAC LAKE – Community Bank N.A. is once again joining the festive spirit this year by sponsoring or independently organizing charity drives for local community members and families.

Throughout the banks four-state footprint, more than 70 branches are celebrating the holidays by lending a hand to neighbors in need, including seven local branches.

Specific local activities

Saranac Lake Broadway and Lake Flower are serving as drop-off locations for Toys for Tots. In addition, the branches held a food drive to benefit St. Paul’s Assumption Food Pantry.

St. Regis Falls is hosting a food drive for St. Regis Falls Food Bank. In addition, the team will pay a visit to residents at St. Regis Falls Adult Center, bringing them handmade Christmas cards, cookies and hot chocolate.

Lake Placid branch collected toys to donate to families in need in the town of North Elba and the village of Lake Placid and team members are volunteering to pack and deliver food boxes to those in need throughout the town of North Elba. In addition, the branch has partnered with the Make A Wish Foundation to sell stars in the branch through December.

Tupper Lake is collecting nonperishable food donations for Tupper Lake Food Pantry through Dec. 21.
