LP girls fall 30-28

LAKE PLACID — The St. Regis Falls girls basketball team eked out a narrow win over Lake Placid Thursday night, 30-28.

Lake Placid’s Graci Daby had a game-high 16 points, while Camille Craig and Kaleigh McKillip each contributed six in the loss. Maya Walker and Skyelin Bradford each put up nine to lead the way for the Saints.

“Daby had a tremendous game for us offensively, knocking down six from the field and sinking four of six from the free throw line ending with a game high 16 points,” Lake Placid coach Jeff Potter said. “Once again we played great team defense but came up short. Freshman Dylan Bashaw did a great job on the boards tonight grabbing 10 rebounds for us.

“Mental mistakes in the last few minutes was the difference in the game today.”
