Tupper falls in volleyball opener
TUPPER LAKE — The Tupper Lake volleyball team dropped its first match of the season Friday with a 25-8, 25-21, 25-15 loss to Madrid-Waddington.
Sierah Lavalley, Rebecca Delair, Madison Kentile, Alamanda King and Hannah Lanthier led a balanced attack by the Lumberjacks. Lavalley, a sophomore, collected three aces and three total service points, Delair had six points, two aces, two kills and two digs and Kentile contributed four points and four aces.
King, a senior, played well defensively with five digs, while Lanthier, a senior, chipped in two points, two digs and an ace.
Tupper Lake returns to action Tuesday on the road against Massena.
