Supply drive thanks

To the editor:

On Nov. 11, Adirondack Health hosted the North Country Medical Supply Drive for the second year. Again, it was a big success, and North Country Mission of Hope was able to collect much-needed durable medical supplies that would otherwise sit in basements or sent to the dump. What a great way to recycle!

I would like to thank many people for their donations of such supplies, from wheelchairs, walkers, braces to canes, over-the-counter meds and powdered baby formula as NCMoH supplies not only to hospitals but also nursing homes and orphanages in Nicaragua. Thank you all again, and thank you to Adirondack Health, Adirondack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and also North Country Community College SPN nursing students Sandra Gauther, Megan Davis, Adriania Fanelli, Emily Sorensen and Lori Bennett for their wonderful donation of supplies! Thanks to Megan Davis for also stopping by Saturday and helping us.

Please keep us in mind next year for another donation day, and you can always drop off items through the year you no longer need to North Country Mission of Hope, or to me here at Adirondack Medical Center.
