Kissmas III theme is ‘Dressed to Fiesta’
To the editor:
Time to dust off those platform boots and get ready for the third annual Kissmas toy and food drive concert on Dec. 2 with your hometown local rockers Sonic Boom. This year’s theme will be “Dressed to Fiesta” as a tip of the hat to the Kiss album “Dressed to Kill” and as a wink to the now-sanitized 2018 Winter Carnival theme.
Sonic Boom is pleased to announce the third annual show to benefit local food pantries and Families First with toy donations for Christmas. Anyone who attended last year’s show will remember the issues we encountered. Those issues seriously affected the money and donations to the charities, so we sought out a rock-and-roll friendly, charity-friendly venue. We found that venue with Johnny Williams at Bitters and Bones on Broadway in Saranac Lake, who will host our Dec. 2 show at 9 p.m.
Attendees are asked to either donate $10 for admission or donate at least $10 worth of non-perishable food items or toys valued at $10 or more. There will be a raffle for items donated by local merchants, special effects by Eric Wilson’s Good Guy Productions and much more.
Sonic Boom receives no money, and all proceeds go to the charities. This is your chance to make and to have a Merry Kissmas. We hope you join us. Feliz navidad!
Sincerely,
John Warchol, lead guitar, vocals
Frank Whitelaw, rhythm guitar, vocals
Ivan MacNamara, bass and good looks
Jon LaPierre, drums, vocals and good looks
