Thanks for chance to speak
To the editor:
I am very grateful to the organizers of the Memorial Day service in Saranac Lake. I was humbled by the privilege to speak at this ceremony. My meager efforts were rewarded by an awesome display of accolades and gratitude that continued for days after. I failed to give proper recognition to the patriots of Saranac Lake and surrounding communities for their display of appreciation to our fallen soldiers. It is this type of citizen who perpetuates what our country stands for. It is this type of American who sets the standard for what our country will become. As I reflect upon the attendees at the Harrietstown Town Hall, I am comforted in the belief that, regardless of the political climate, my country is alive and well.
