Hospice Radio Day thanks

To the editor and friends of our communities:

On Tuesday, June 6, High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care held its 25th annual Radio Day. We’d like to thank the many volunteers, businesses, and individual donors that, through their donations of time, incentive gifts and financial support, helped us raise close to $25,000 at this event! It is the generosity of so many of our community members that allows us to provide compassionate end-of-life care in the North Country.

This includes our sponsors: Adirondack Bank, Adirondack Health, American Legion of Lake Placid, Burnham Benefit Advisors, Church of St. Luke, Community Bank, Eye Peek, Gordon W. Pratt Agency, High Peaks Church, Knights of Columbus of AuSable Forks, Lamb Lumber Co., Lions Club of Lake Placid, Mountain Communications, NBT Bank, Saranac Lake Women’s Chamber, Shaheen’s Supermarket, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Tupper Lake and The Wild Center.

Thank you also to Adirondack Health for use of the Redfield Room and their technical and facility support teams; the Saranac Lake Elks Club and the volunteers who helped with data entry, answering phones, filing and so much more, especially Anita Meserole, Marilyn Bigelow, and Nancy Duncan, who played a large part leading up to the day’s success; Lakeview Deli, Pizza Hut and Dunkin’ Donuts for providing food throughout the day; The Wild Center’s Rick Godin for live streaming video at L.P. Quinn; our hosts at L.P. Quinn, Ted Merrihew and WPTZ’s Gib Brown; and especially the amazing fundraising by the children at L.P. Quinn — over $7,300! We couldn’t have done it without our radio host, Mountain Communications owner Ted Morgan, who donates an entire day of broadcasting on WNBZ 106.3-FM and countless hours to High Peaks Hospice Radio Day each year.

Lastly, thank you to our donors. By supporting our mission to provide compassionate, end-of-life health care, you make a difference throughout our North Country communities.

With sincere gratitude,

Susan Rdzanek, development coordinator, the Board of Directors and entire team at High Peaks Hospice & Palliative Care
