Spring will have to follow snow, up to 5 more inches

Spring will have to wait until next week.

The National Weather Service predicts snowfall to accumulate on the ground today and Friday: up to 5 inches total in Lake Placid and perhaps 2 or 4 inches elsewhere in the Tri-Lakes area.

High temperatures are expected to be in the 30s above freezing today and Friday, rising into the 40s with sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are predicted to break into the 50s Monday, combined with more sunshine, and the weather service predicts that trend to continue for at least through Tuesday and Wednesday.
