LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will host a reception to celebrate the opening of “Those Who Can …” from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

This new exhibit aims to showcase the artistic talents of the region’s art teachers who work tirelessly to encourage their own students’ growth as artists. The joint exhibit will be on display in the gallery at LPCA through Feb. 17.

Over 50 area art teachers not only represent the full educational landscape, from Pre-K to post-grad, but also a full range of artistic mediums, as well.

Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Admission is free.
