Man dies after fall through ice in Bolton
State Department of Environmental Conservation forest rangers are conducting a massive search for a hunter who has been missing in the Oneonta area and were also involved in a search-and-recovery mission in the Adirondacks last week. The missing hunter was found dead on Tuesday this week.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, Forest Ranger Evan Donegan responded to a call from Warren County 911 about two subjects who had fallen through the ice of Edgecomb Pond. The Bolton Fire Department had already rescued one subject and was loading him into an ambulance when Donegan arrived.
Once there, Donegan donned a cold water rescue suit and assisted the Warren County dive team, which was already looking for the second subject. After about 50 minutes, a diver located the second man’s body in about 12 feet of water.
Donegan and the ambulance corps transported the body to shore, where it was turned over to the Warren County coroner.
The Glens Falls Post-Star newspaper identified the man as 26-year-old Queensbury resident Jeffrey Selleck, and said New York State Police are investigating.
