Trivia Night Wednesday at LP Conference Center
The Lake Placid Rotary Club’s Trivia Night, a benefit for the Literacy Volunteers of Essex/Franklin counties and other local and international reading projects, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Olympic Conference Center in Lake Placid.
“At previous events, we raised over $3,000 for the various charities we support. Now we want to raise it even higher to over $3,500 at Wednesday’s Trivia Night,” said Rotary Coordinator Mary Liz Alexander.
“Team slots are filling up fast. Many of the teams that played at previous events are back as well as new players who are excited about having the chance to participate in this evening of fun and camaraderie. The best part is that anyone can play, from teenagers to retirees.”
Teams of eight players will enjoy ten rounds of play, answering questions that cover a wide spectrum of general knowledge trivia.
Known only to the questions committee, these questions are kept under lock and key, so everyone has a fair advantage to win.
There are also a wide variety of door prizes that everyone has a chance to win.
Entry fee is $20 per person ($160 per team of eight) and includes light refreshments, plus there’s a cash bar.
Pre-registration is recommended. Forms are available on the Rotary website: http://rotarylakeplacid.org (go to downloads – trivia night), or at Gordon W. Pratt Agency, 2699 Main Street, Lake Placid. Alternatively, you can come early to register at the door.
Registration is from 6 to 6:45 p.m.
