Stefanik announces Medicare town hall
WASHINGTON — Congresswoman Elise Stefanik announced Wednesday that she will host a Medicare “tele-town hall” Monday to help North Country constituents choose a Medicare plan during the 54-day window they have to enroll.
Medicare holds an annual open enrollment period from Oct. 5 to Dec. 7, which is the only time citizens can enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan or Prescription Drug Plan, make changes to a current plan, or switch between original Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
The call-in will begin at 10:45 a.m. Monday and will feature a representative from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to answer questions.
Residents can reserve time by calling Stefanik’s Washington office at 202-225-4611 by 1 p.m. Friday and leaving a name and telephone number on the voicemail.
