Tupper Triad Challenge on Oct. 21
TUPPER LAKE — Big Tupper Brewing has announced the first Triad Challenge to be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, beginning at 9 a.m.
This timed event will require participants to run, walk, or crawl up the three mountains that make up the Tupper Lake Triad. Starting at 9 a.m. at the trailhead for Mount Arab, participants will be timed as they move from Mount Arab, to Coney Mountain, and finish on Goodman Mountain. Time will include the drive between each mountain.
The trails are all state Department of Environmental Conservation maintained trails, with the assistance of several local enthusiasts.
For those doing all three for the first time, upon completion of the Triad and individual may submit a completed form and be registered with a climbing number and receive a Triad decal and patch.
Entries are limited to the first 50.
The entry fee is $30 and includes a custom T-shirt, lunch and a pint at Big Tupper Brewing, following the race. There will be an assortment of prizes.
