Applications roll in for code enforcement job
LAKE PLACID — Members of the North Elba Town Council said Tuesday that they’ve received at least 12 applications for the Code Enforcement Officer position being vacated by the retiring James Morganson.
Councilman Jack Favro said at least three applicants has experience as code enforcement officers and at least two of those are from the area.
Morganson formally retired on Nov. 25 and has since been rehired by the town on a temporary basis.
North Elba Town Supervisor Roby Politi said Tuesday that Morganson is currently running the town code enforcement office “like normal,” as Interim Building Inspector.
Anticipated interviews with candidates could take place in February at the earliest.
