Cecunjanin scores 21 as Bomber hoops fall
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid boys basketball team suffered a 72-35 loss to the Bolton Eagles on Thursday evening on the road.
The Eagles jumped out to a 39-17 lead at halftime and soared by the remainder of the way, improving to 9-1 overall.
Lake Placid’s Seb Cecunjanin pushed his career points totals to 866 with a game-high 21-point outing. Brendan Murphy and Emerson Sweet chipped in with four points, while Owen Hayes, Kenny Lawrence and Calvin Branchaud each scored two.
Bolton’s Liam Foy and Jaxson Egloff led the way with 15 points each, while Jace Hubert and Jacob French also reached double figures, with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
The Blue Bombers were slated to host Indian Lake/Long Lake on Friday. The team will then host Willsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
