Storm girls race to sweep in cross country
SARANAC LAKE — Saranac Lake’s girls cross country team picked up a pair of wins in their first road meet of the season Tuesday, while the boys squad split against its competitors.
Competing at Point Au Roche State Park in Plattsburgh, the Red Storm girls topped the Beekmantown Eagles 23-37 and beat the Seton Catholic Knights 15-50.
Racing without its top runner, Jake Kollmer, Saranac Lake’s boys suffered a 15-44 loss to the Eagles but topped the Knights 15-50. Neither Seton Catholic boys or girls teams had enough runners to compete.
