Lake Placid Figure Skating Championship returns

LAKE PLACID — The 67th Lake Placid Figure Skating Championship will return next week from June 19 of 22 at the Olympic Center.

The competitive non-qualifying event features singles and pairs competitions across all levels, from beginners to seniors.

The skating championships will feature over 200 skaters from the Northeast and Canada, including the junior men’s event includes four international competitors: Canada’s David Shteyngart and David Bondar along with Team USA’s Kirk Haugeto and Aleksandr Fegen.

The senior men’s event will also feature Canada’s Bruce Waddell, a 2020 Youth Olympian and 2022 Ice Dance World Junior Champion and Team USA’s Will Annis, the 2022 U.S. junior silver medalist.
